Tipper Body / Dropside Body

Giblin Truck Bodies manufactures various types of tipper bodies. Depending on the design, the hydraulic tipping ram can be mounted on the front end or the underneath of the body and can be powered by electric pump or driven from the vehicle's gearbox. There is also an option for three way tipping body. Tipping bodies can be made from hard ox steel, mild steel and aluminium and can have several options such as dropsides, fixed sides, extended mesh sides, tar chutes, automatic locking rear door, tool boxes, tow bars, roll over covers and insulated sides and floor. Tipper bodies can be used in conjunction with a front mounted crane or a rear mounted moffett forklift.

Dropside bodies are built to meet the customer’s requirements depending on their cargo. Dropside panels are usually made from pressed steel, but they can also be made from aluminium, timber, mesh, and PVC. Floors can be hardwood timber, steel, stainless steel or aluminium. Other features to choose from are rear removable rack/horse, tie hooks, tie rings, tow bars, toolboxes and fitted covers. Dropside bodies can also be used in conjunction with a front or rear mounted crane, tail lift or moffett forklift.
